“Forgetting” to credit the original person who created the content isn’t “rude.” It’s technically copyright infringement and is very likely illegal. And when you go through deleting every line of credit in your post, it’s not “forgetting” or an accident. It’s purposely removing all credit from your post.
Beyond that, I can’t figure out why anyone would want to remove the credit from a post. Does anyone have a good reason? Because while I’ve heard a lot of people say, “Oh, haha, look at those losers who actually care if someone doesn’t give them credit,” I haven’t had anyone give me a legitimate reason for why you wouldn’t, other than that it isn’t illegal. Beyond that, why do you waste the time to delete the credits? Are you like Kyra Lee and baby pandas are oh so meaningful to you that having the taint of someone else’s blog on your post would demean the pandas and yourself? Are you so worried that having a list of links to other people’s sites might mess up the aesthetics of your standard template/shitty bastardizations of the standard template tumblr? Or are you just so desperately bent on looking cool that you couldn’t possibly link other people because it might seem like you are actually as unoriginal as you are? I hate to tell you this. This is tumblr. Everything comes from somewhere, and 99% of it probably doesn’t come from you, so why not just credit it instead of trying to look cool? Because while I can see why you might think I’m a loser for wanting you to credit me for the content I spent time looking for, I can’t help thinking you’re an even bigger loser for being too lazy to find your own content, but not being too lazy to delete all the credit out of your reblogged content and then to turn around and bitch out other people who don’t and who provide you with 90% of the content on your tumblr.
Anyhow. I don’t care to argue about this anymore. You can do whatever you like with credits on your tumblr. However, I would appreciate it if everyone who is too cool to credit me for the content they reblog from me, and so cool they feel the need to make fun of me for asking them to credit me would just unfollow me. After all, if I’m such a loser that you feel the need to berate me, why would you want to taint your super cool tumblr and your super cool self with such losery content from a losery human being?
